Frequently asked Questions.
How do I know my ring size?
I have a size guide page to help with converting sizes from international gradings. Most jewellers will measure a finger quite happily and any high street jewellers will have finger sizes. I can post out a finger size kit if not able to reach an outlet.
What if my ring is too big or small?
It is always the desired outcome to have a ring that fits perfectly even after a measurement was taken, but in the case it needs adjustment a resize is always possible on collection designs.
What is a Hallmark? How does it work?
A hallmark is a legal certification of a few things. It stamps the date, where it was hallmarked, what metal and grade it is made of and also a mark unique to the maker called a sponsors mark.
Can I use a jewel I already have?
Absolutely, precious gems & precious metals can be re worked into new designs.
Can you use some old jewellery to make a new piece for me?
Most fine jewellery will be passed on to next generations, and ware and tare take their toll, so some jewellery will need remaking for safety, but also style and fashions change with generations too and many pieces mean a lot but perhaps do not represent a personal design choice. Here I can remove gems, and re design a piece to be enjoyed for a new generation, while still holding the memories.
How long does it take to receive my jewellery?
For bespoke creations a time line will be developed into the process unique to the client and dialogue to suit. For collection pieces a delivery date will be issued with sale confirmation, in stock items will be 2-3 days, made to order items 2-4 weeks.
What is your returns policy?
Collection pieces can be returned within 14 days in condition received. Bespoke items i have to comment by discretion to each contract.
How do I return an item of jewellery if it was originally a gift from someone else?
If you have received an item as a gift and don't have a receipt, we will happily provide a credit note for the current item price. This can be used on our website against the purchase of a different item with the same or greater value.
What's your sourcing policy?
I buy gems from the Uk’s top accredited supplier, and use recycled or fair trade precious metals. The natural world is very important to me, and i strive to cause harmony rather than harm to our planet.
How do I care for my jewellery?
Fine jewellery is made to be worn, but care and consideration is needed at times. Harmful chemicals, or heavy work can affect or damage a piece of jewellery.
How can I clean my jewellery?
To keep gems sparkly and bright, a soft brush like a gentle tooth brush and some hot gentle washing up liquid will clear away oils and dust to let the light shine back in, and revive a gem. Each item of jewellery will be sent out with a precious metal cleaning cloth, which will restore shine to gold, silver and platinum. For a professional clean and polish jewellery can be returned to the studio for a full maintenance check at the same time.
